Directors biographies
Elena Butică (b.1990) is based in Bucharest, Romania. She is going back and forth between the costume and script writing departments of movie productions, looking for ways to use humour in expressing stories about her internal landscape. Previously, has written and directed the short movie called “Moli”.
Raluca Croitoru (b.1989) is a visual artist based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Croitoru uses a multidisciplinary approach that coalesces elements from fine art, choreography and performance. Her practice focuses on embodied and tacit knowledge and she works with choreography as a tool of investigation and expression.
Croitoru holds an MA from Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam and a BA in Photography and Video from Bucharest National University of Arts.
Her works have been performed and exhibited at WET, TENT and Mama (NL), Changing Room, Berlin (DE), TBA Performance Festival, Portland (USA), Art in General, NYC (USA), Temps d’Image Festival Lisbon (PT), Skånes Konstförening, Malmö (SE), Playground Performance Festival, Leuven (BE) and Art Encounters Biennial, Timișoara (RO).
